Under 13s Cup Final Tomorrow

All the pressure goes on to the Under 13s tomorrow in their Cup final V Castlknock. Jonner Mangan and Steo O'Rourkes boys have already bagged the league title and they know how significant an achievement it will be to do the double. Kick off is 10am in the Oscar trainor Complex and lets hope they get great support

Under 12s Wrap up the title

Congratulations to Chopper's Under 12s who won the league title tonight after beating Kilmore 2-1 at home. It is a great achievement as this team where taken out of a lower division mid season due to their fantastic results. Some great performances all season and everyone has done the club proud.

Sandyhill 1-0 St Pauls

Good win in Premier A for the Senior team in terrible conditions, they played very good football again and deserved the win, next up is Seaview on Thursday in Coultry. It really is a must win game for Seaview so should be plenty of excitement.

Game V St Pauls goes ahead

Sunday's game against St Pauls in Premier A is the only Sandyhill game going ahead as the rain put paid to all the kids fixtures. this will be a tough battle as St Pauls are in the danger zone in Premier A.

Sandyhill V Wfta off

Tonights game V Wfta in Premier A is off due to Coultry park being Waterlogged. Next Premier A game is away to St Pauls on Sunday.

Midweek games

Thursday night at Coultry 6.30pm and it's O'Deveney in a Premier A match. O'Dev are in a similar situation to the "hill in that they had a good run in the cups come to a sticky end but they are back winning in the league again and its sure to be a close game.

Under 9s and 13s into Final's

Well done to both the Under 9s and Under 13s who qualified for Finals after beating Drumcondra and Portmarnock this weekend. Final's will take place in Early May so good luck to all our players.

This weeks News

After last nights excellent victory against League Leaders Sherriff YC the senior team will have another weekend off this weekend but some big games coming up for some of the kids teams. On Saturday the Under 9s are in a Cup Semi Final away to Drumcondra FC. Kick off is 10.30am on Grace Park Road. On Sunday the Under 13s will be hoping to add to their league title in the League Cup semi final away to Portmarnock on Sunday at 10am. At 11.15 on Sunday the Under 15s are away to Clogertown in a game that will have a big say in where the league title will go. Good luck to all our teams.

free weekend

No games this weekend at all so hopefully everyone at the Club has a well deserved break. Best of luck to Ballymun United in the big game of the weekend against Sherrif in the FAI Junior Cup. Kick off is Sunday 15.30 in the AUL Complex.

Under 8s and 9s win again

The junior's started the weekend off on a high for the "hill once again today with the 9s winning 5-1 and the 8s winning 3-2. Follow that lads.

Sandyhill 1-0 Baldoyle

First team put in a great shift beat Baldoyle 1-0 to start moving back up the table, the game was decided by a cracker for a goal by Steo Coleman but result of the day goes to the under 15s who won ten nil to keep their league title challenge bang on target.

Under 9s in Last eight

The under 9s are into the last 8 in their Cup competition in the NDSL. Kick off is 11am in Naul Park

Sandyhill 1-1 Kilbarrack

Great performance by the senior side today with a fully justified equalizer against kilbarrick in Stoppage time. We dominated the game and the lads certianly have their mojo back. We played some fantastic football and the Kilbarrick keeper had to pull off a number of saves to keep them in the game. The lads are a a credit to the club for putting some poor recent performances behind and come back with their heads held high.

Under 12s and 13s had good wins today but the under 15s where left very dissapointed as their game was called off at the last minute

Cup heartbreak continues

Senior team's bad run continued with a defeat in the Nivea Cup today against Darndale. We started off well but nothing seems to be going our way at the minuted and Darndale deservedly go throught to take on Ballymun in the next round. It's a tough time for the players at them moment going out of the big 3 Cups in as many weeks but we shall return.

Senior Team back in action

Tomorrow's Nivea Cup game Vs Darndale is a Morning kick off.... 11am at the AUL Complex. Hopefully the lads put last weeks dissapointment behind them and show us all what they have been showing us all season.... best of luck lads

Get back out Pitch

Dublin City Council will be doing a lot of work to help restore the small pitch we are using for the Under 8s and 9s over the next few weeks. They have asked us for our cooperation and as a result we are looking for Volunteers to help us collect some of the litter around the Pitch area. Anybody attending any of our home games in Naul can do their bit and all the necessary equipment will be provided.

Under 15s fixture change

Sandyhill Under 15s will play Tolka Rovers under 15s today, due to a bereavement Boyne Rovers Under 15s cannot fulfill the fixture.

Coaching Courses

The NDSL Academy are giving SSG Coaches a brilliant insight into a Tecnical/ Tactical Program which has been endorsed by West Ham United - The Academy of Football and used in a number of UK Academy Systems. The program is specific in the tecnical work needed for young players in Ball Manipulation, Passing & Receiving, Shooting, Heading, but most importantly 5-7-9- A-Side Shapes and Tactical Development in those games. This workshop is absolute must for Coaches working in the SSG game. The Coaches will demonstrate paractical's for 1 hour & 30 minutes on Concept 4 Soccer Technical Program, will give Power Point Presentation before and after session, will give a Session Planner Handout. Guest Coachs on the night: Stuart Carcia Europan Director Concept 4 Soccer and Currently head of Techinical Development in Millwall FC Academy, Previorsly worked at Crystal Palace, and Arsenal.
